NVax: Nevada’s
immunization
coalition

Hi! We’re NVax: Nevada’s immunization coalition

It’s nice to meet you.

Nevada has historically struggled with vaccination. Our children have among the lowest rates of on-time immunization in the country, and by the time they enter school, they have among the highest rates of non-medical vaccine exemptions. Our adults have some of the lowest rates of influenza vaccination. And during the COVID vaccination campaigns at the height of the pandemic, Nevada fell in the lowest third of states. In short, we are always at the top of the bad lists and the bottom of the good ones.

We are here to change that.

NVax was founded at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Public Health in 2026 to fill a gap in the state. We exist to bring together our community – patients, parents, providers, and partner organizations – to protect Nevadans against completely preventable diseases.

It won’t be easy. It won’t happen overnight. But with the support of the community, our members, and our partners, we will get there.

We are supported by a grant from the Nevada State Immunization Program at the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (SG-2026-00369) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (NH23IP922729).
